Transport Made Simple

The bus stops that connect us all,
looked after by the people who use them.

Love Your Bus Stop is a crowd-sourced effort to map, audit and improve every bus stop across the regions we cover — so councils know what to fix first, operators see where their passengers wait, and the public has a way to make their local stop a little better.

The mission

Better bus stops, by the people who use them.

Bus stops are the front door of public transport. Yet the picture of what actually exists out there — the poles, flags, shelters, timetable cases, kerbs, lighting and seating — is patchy, out of date and rarely shared between the councils that fund them and the operators that use them.

Love Your Bus Stop fixes that. Anyone with the app can walk up to a stop, tick off what’s there, snap a photo and submit the result. Every submission updates a colour-coded map that anyone can see, helps councils prioritise repairs, and earns the surveyor points towards real local rewards.

How it works

Three minutes, three steps, three colours.

1

Find your nearest stop

Open the iOS app — it shows the bus stops around you on a colour-coded map. Grey means nobody’s surveyed it yet. Walk up to one.

2

Tick eleven things off

Pole, flag, timetable case, shelter, lighting, seating, real-time screen, raised kerb, yellow box, QR board, perspex. Three taps each. Add a photo. Submit.

3

Get your points, earn local rewards

Surveys earn points you can redeem for things like a free coffee in your town, a TMS mug, or a free bus ticket. Each stop changes colour on the public map straight away.

Coverage

Eleven counties, ~37,000 stops, growing.

We’re live across:

  • Cambridgeshire
  • Peterborough
  • Essex
  • Thurrock
  • Southend-on-Sea
  • Hertfordshire
  • Leicestershire
  • Leicester
  • Rutland
  • Norfolk
  • Suffolk

Adding a new county is a small config change — councils can get in touch any time to bring their patch on board.

Transport Made Simple

Love Your Bus Stop is a Transport Made Simple project. We’re a Norfolk-based operator and consultancy working with local councils, contracted-services teams and bus-station managers across the East of England — managing real-world infrastructure on the ground every day.

That’s why this works: every survey doesn’t just colour a dot on a map, it goes straight into the same back office that lets us, our council clients and our operator partners actually do something with it — from repairing a damaged shelter to updating the timetable in the case.

Want your council or operator involved?

We work with councils to put their region’s stops on the map, with operators to plug in service data and with bus-station managers to handle compliance, audits and irregularity notices in one place. If that sounds useful, get in touch.
